The auto-lube pump purpose is to feed 2-stroke oil into the stock carb. This set up is perfect for a stock scooter. But once you start adding more fuel, you will run into leaning problems. (Lean= oil vs. fuel not fuel vs. air.) The best way to fix this is to go pre-mix, no more oil injection. This DROWsports Auto-lube Delete will cover the hole left from removing the Auto-lube pump.
DROWsports Auto-lube Delete Plate will work on all Yamaha Zuma/Grand Axis engines.
What you will need: -Philip Screwdriver -Pliers -Purple or Blue strength thread lock -flashlight -a can of brake cleaner (not necessary)
1. Remove Side Cover. There are four Philip screws holding the side cover on.
2. Remove front Cover. Unplug the spark plug wire and make sure to unplug anything that is attached to the cover.
3. Remove the two screws holding the auto-lube pump. You need a Philip screwdriver to take off the two screws holding the A.L.P.
BE CAREFUL NOT TO STRIP THE SCREWS.
4. Pull out the A.L.P. You may need to use a pair of pliers.
5. Cleaning Using the can of brake cleaner, spray and clean the oil off the motor.
6. Install the DROWsports Auto-lube Pump Delete. Only use blue or purple strength thread lock to secure the screw from coming loose.
