Easily this is one of the smallest mounting bases you can find when it comes to attaching electronics to a vehicle. It's low-profile design is extemely subtle as just being a 1 inch diameter ball on your steering component. The ball is made from a hard rubber be soft enough to absorb vibrations and be durable, while the rubber is made to provide excellent grip with the socket end. The base of the ball is made from marine grade aluminum with a powder coat.

Simply remove one of the M8 screws on your steering top clamp, insert the ball base, and tighten it with a provided screw. The kit includes three screws, so the correct length for your needs are sure to be there.

Most that do need or prefer to have an electronic device mounted in front of them, whether a cell phone, GPS unit, or gauge, actually don't.
