Saturday – Carter Powersports Event
Saturday morning was a bit of a struggle for us to get to the event on time due to all the riding & Drag Racing that was going on the night before. Set up time was supposed to be at 10:00 AM but didn’t manage to get to Carters Powers ports till maybe 11ish?. Well the point is that we got there, set up the booth and split the team in two since half of us were going to hold it down at carters and the other half headed down to the AIM Expo going on in the Mandalay Bay.
Arrived just on time before everyone else began to show up, as you can see Patrick (PSD) still setting up his speakers
Mike Senato (on the left) figuring out what items he wanted to win, while Patrick on the right being photogenic as usual. (Cant ever catch him off guard)
Booths in full effect with almost every rider and even non-riders tryin to win a prize.
The table full of prizes from Fly Helmets, Perfect Stranger Designs stunt parts, T-Shirts from Composimo and cant forget our Drow Raffle Prizes!.
What can possibly make this event better other than motorcycles? Tacos and burritos! and a wide selection of drinks to stay cool in the heat. Thanks Bubus Mexican gourmet food truck!
With everyone still pumped from the Drags, Dynos runs were being made through out the day for the highest horse power prize. ( EL Joselito’s GY6 232 cc Honda Ruckus on the Dyno)
Stunt Show and Competition
R6 Squid (Charlie) getting down on his Kawasaki Z-125 Pro.
Slow Wheelie competitions and slow races going on through out the day, the competition was intense among the GoonieZ and scooter swap shop crew
How do you increase you winning odds? After talking to a couple of the riders at the event, most of them had the same strategy. Buy tickets in the beginning, some in the middle, and then some at the very last minute… Did it work? well you had to of been there to find out.
The girl standing in the front was determined to win. Unfortunately, she didn’t start off too great. Halfway through she won a tee shirt and stickers I believe. Two hours later ( or at least that’s what it seemed like to me) she ended up winning the grand prize… A brand new 2018 SSR Pit Bike (Raffled by legal ride major powers ports). The second biggest prize was won by, someone who only purchased 1 ticket. Luckiest guy there if you ask me.
At the end of the day, our team packed up our booth to get back to the house. Also, the GoonieZ had a ride at 7:00 but our team decided to relax. The next day was going to be a long ride for us.
Carter Powersports was an amazing experience! We were glad to set up a booth and show our support for the community!
