The auto-lube pump's purpose is to feed 2-stroke oil into the stock carb. This setup is perfect for a stock scooter. However, once you start adding more fuel, you will run into leaning problems (lean = oil vs. fuel, not fuel vs. air). The best way to fix this is to go premix, eliminating oil injection. The DROWsports Auto-Lube Delete Plate covers the hole left from removing the auto-lube pump.

DROWsports Auto-Lube Delete Plate will work on all Yamaha Zuma/Grand Axis engines.

What you will need:

  • Phillips screwdriver
  • Pliers
  • Purple or blue strength thread lock
  • Flashlight
  • Can of brake cleaner (optional)
  1. Remove side cover. There are four Phillips screws holding the side cover on.

  2. Remove front cover. Unplug the spark plug wire and ensure all attached components are unplugged from the cover.

  3. Remove the two screws holding the auto-lube pump. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove these screws. BE CAREFUL NOT TO STRIP THE SCREWS.

  4. Pull out the auto-lube pump. You may need to use a pair of pliers.

  5. Clean using the brake cleaner. Spray and clean the oil off the motor.

  6. Install the DROWsports Auto-Lube Pump Delete. Use only blue or purple strength thread lock to secure the screws from coming loose.
