Unlock the full performance potential of your build with the Chimera Engineering 4-Speed Engine Swap Mount Kit—designed to install the 1st/2nd gen Honda Grom 125 (OG/SF) 4-speed engine into the 2022+ Honda Grom chassis. The earlier 4-speed engine is known for its superior high-performance mod compatibility, unlike the newer 5-speed engine which is limited by narrow head stud spacing.

With Chimera’s precision-engineered mount kit, this engine swap can be completed with minimal chassis modification—just a small notch for engine clearance. For proper fitment, the right-side engine case must be shaved down to less than 87mm at the two mounting hole surfaces. This can easily be done using basic hand or air tools such as a grinder, cutoff wheel, or Dremel. You’ll also reuse the two factory engine bolts for installation.

Chimera designed this mount to lock into place, reinforcing and tying the frame together with the mount brackets for improved rigidity and strength.

This kit is also fully reversible—you can return to the 5-speed engine or reinstall the 4-speed engine in the OG/SF chassis using washers or machined spacers to restore the original 90mm width.
