Malossi High Resistance Rollers are made of a special compound - CPT. Each Malossi Roller is clearly marked with its weight.
The main role in tuning a scooter variomatic is weight. Rule of thumb: the lighter your roller sets, the more rpm's are needed to push the rolls outwards through a centrifugal motion to set gear change in motion. Heavier rollers need lower rpm's to start this process. That means if your scooter has lighter rolls it will need higher rpm's to start moving. Heavier rolls allow you to start moving at lower rpm's.
