When rebuilding, each gasket and washer should be replaced to prevent oil leaks that commonly occur from reused or crushed components. Be sure to work in a clean environment and properly lubricate all moving parts before assembly. We also recommend performing a fresh oil change during installation—don’t forget to pick up new oil, filters, and drain plug gaskets if you don’t already have them.

The included piston is a standard OEM size and does not come with piston rings or c-clips preinstalled. If you’re performing the rebuild yourself, a piston pin clip tool is highly recommended to make installation easier and safer.
