Your rear wheel takes a beating every time you snap the throttle or slam a downshift, and the little rubber blocks living inside your Z125 Pro's hub are what keep that abuse from reaching the rest of the drivetrain. This is the genuine Kawasaki cush drive damper, part# 92161-0084 — the same rubber shock absorber your bike left the factory with.
The "cush drive" is a set of rubber dampers sandwiched between the rear sprocket carrier and the wheel hub. Their whole job is to soak up the sudden torque spikes from acceleration, deceleration, and chain snatch so the load gets fed to the wheel smoothly instead of hammering your sprocket, chain, and transmission. When these dampers wear out, get hard, or start to crumble, you'll feel it: a clunk on take-off, extra driveline slop, chain-adjustment weirdness, and accelerated wear on parts that cost a lot more than a rubber block.
Because these are consumable rubber pieces, they're a classic "replace them while you're in there" item — especially during a sprocket swap, wheel bearing job, or chain-and-sprocket refresh. Going OEM here matters: the durometer and fit are dialed in for the Z125 Pro hub, so you get the correct cushioning without the vague, sloppy feel that comes from worn or off-spec rubber.
