Polaris RZR 170 Cylinder Base Gasket #2

Doing a top-end on your RZR 170? This is the gasket that seals the bottom of the jug. The cylinder base gasket (diagram reference #2, Polaris OEM #0455362) sits between the cylinder and the crankcase — the joint right at the base of the cylinder where it bolts to the cases.

It does two jobs at once: seals that cylinder-to-crankcase joint so you don't weep oil at the base, and sets the deck height that your squish and compression depend on. That's why it's a one-time-use part. Once it's been torqued and heat-cycled it's taken a set, and reusing it means an oil leak at the base and a deck height you can't trust. Any time the cylinder comes off — piston, rings, bore job, or a full rebuild — this gasket gets replaced, full stop.

If you're already this deep, get the head gasket and a fresh top-end going in at the same time so you seal the whole jug up right in one pass.
