When riding, the bike becomes an extension of your body, you need to make it match your needs as much as possible. Depending on your riding style and conditions, you should adjust your forks spring rate accordingly. The RaceTech Fork Spring Kit is a great option. Depending on what riding you may be doing you can swap as needed. The Grom is especially one to adjust for. The Grom itself was made for the paved streets but also ready to play dirty. Stiffen your ride for the streets to get better-controlled contact with the surface. It'll also help with your maneuvering when navigating the streets. However, we like to also take ours to play in the dirt, depending on how rough your terrain you can swap to the softer springs, the last thing you want is to ride over something so hard you're tossed off instead of some cushy springs to absorb part of the rough terrain. Replacing the springs is quite a job, so we also recommend replacing the fork valves at the same time which includes a longer damping rod.
