The spark plug gap tool is a 5" x 3" plate made with a lip to measure the gap of spark plugs and other things. The lip is a graduated ramp that correlates to the sizing marked on the inside of the tool. This tool offers measurements in both SAE and Metric ranging from .020 to .100 in inches and .60 - 2.40mm in millimeters. Having too large of a gap or too small of a gap can cause extreme inconsistencies in how your vehicle runs.
