The time had finally come, the “votes” were counted, and the rules were enforced. In the end, though, there would only be one winner, one second place, and two prizes awarded. Early in the contest, there were three builds that would stand clear from the rest of the field. However, the distance to victory was short, very short, and the winner had to come from behind to do it.
We have counted the votes through the entire contest and by that Friday, it was apparent that would it be an all Honda Ruckus contest, but that Kenny Cao, Earl “Achi” Yamada, and Alber Yau would be the three to beat. Kenny held the lead that day with 262 likes with Albert at 207, Achi trailed with 133. By Tuesday, Kenny had a commanding lead with 348 “Likes” and Albert at 253. Achi was only able to pick-up an addition two “Likes” and by the end of the contest, he raised that two more with 137.
However, the battle for first and second would begin to heat up Thursday morning! Who would know that at the last few moments, it became a race to the finish. With only 2 hours to go, the winners were “wheel to wheel” with only 15 votes apart. Towards the end, the contest winner closed the gap and finally was able to pull a slim 14 “Like” lead after being behind.
Third Place went to Earl “Achi” Yamada, with his GY6 Swapped, 232cc displacement Ruckus. The Wheeliein’ Hawaiian proves he knows how to build a bike with 137 “Likes” total! While he does not win any money, “Achi” wins with the Aloha Spirit!
Second Place went to Kenny Cao with his All Honda Ruckus! This beautiful bike shows that many people still love the GET with 516 “Likes” to earn him 2nd! His Second Place also earns him $50 in Store Credit towards DROWSports Branded Products.
Finally, the winner of DROWSports Virtual Scooter Show Contest is Albert “My Ruckus is My Lambo” Yau! This Lamborghini Giallo Midas painted Ruckus sports a GY6 Swap with 12″ Dorbyworks Custom 8-Hole Polished Wheels front and rear! The bike also sports a FLP Frame Splitter, Killer Scooter GY6 Mount, RRGS Drag Low Forks, and Daytona BSC Mirrors and Low Kickstand.
