The 49cc Ruckus has the largest aftermarket support seen for nearly any bike. Ruckus performance parts range from simple Variator parts to Clutch conversions. The most popular Variator conversion is the Polini Honda Ruckus Variator Speed Control. Not only is its pulley larger for more speed, it also uses 16×14 slider weights. This is good because now you can use large variety of roller or slider weights, such as the Dr Pulley Slider weights. With minor modification, the Keihin PE20 carburetor is nearly a bolt on, but there are jet options for the OEM Ruckus. However, those jets can be a bit hard to find.

There are many suspension options for the Honda Ruckus. The Ruckus Shocks for the rear are plentiful, but nearly all of them require the removal or modification of the stock airbox. The popular options are ones from Mountain bikes, like from Marzocchi. However, there are scooter based options from RRGS, Doppler, and ATR. The Ruckus RRGS shocks are popular for their low cost and high quality. Forks are all scooter based, with, again, the popular company being RRGS. However, most of those forks require swapping to disc brakes.

Speaking of brakes, a front swap using a pre-packaged Ruckus Brake Kit is a popular option. However, it can be an expensive option. Luckily, many companies package their brake kits to allow for a full swap to Ruckus Disk Brakes, including a master cylinder, lines, and even the wheel. This makes the higher costs justified as it is an entirely bolt in solution and the only thing left is add brake fluid and bleed the brake system. The rear drum is limited to higher performance shoes, but they are out there. There is currently no disc brake swap for the GET engine.
